BNDES (Brazil’s National Development Bank) and MCT (Ministry of Science and Technology), that develops, among other activities, the National policy for scientific, technological and innovation research and the goods and services trade control, have sponsored an event in the West coast of the U.S. May 10 – 13, 2010, entitled, “Brazil: Creating Opportunities Through Innovation”.
Sérgio Rezende, Brazil’s Minister of Science and Technology, officials from BNDES and representatives from the country’s private sector, among them, Invit’s CEO, Sérgio Paim, participated in roundtable meetings that made possible to show how far Brazil has come and where it would like to go. According to the Minister, Brazil is one of the fastest growing technology markets in the world and is quickly rising in prominence as a center for global scientific innovation.
Events like this, that connects Brazilian experts on the forefront of IT and technology development to global business leaders, also help to drive future collaboration and advancements in a country that has been experiencing a spike in foreign investments.
Invit holds highly innovative projects, specially the Projeto Guarda-Costas (Bodyguard Project - in English) that has aroused governmental interest for its internalization.
