| History of innovation |
Invit was founded in 1995 by four Computer Science students
from UFU (Federal University of Uberlândia). It was the time
of Client-Server popularity and the use of relational
database and fourth generation languages gave the partners -
still students. - the opportunity to apply technology and
concepts in the companies in the region to solve real
problems.
From this initial ability (of applying technology from
strong conceptual bases) the company started to work
nationally as specialist in Sybase technology for clients as
Brahma, Bozano-Simonsen, Consórcio Nacional Rodobens, among
others.
In 1999, Invit started positioning itself as neutral
technology integrator, adopting Java platform and creating
additional tools (3-layer framework) open to structured web
development.
In 2001, from a strategic repositioning, Invit started a
more methodological and advisory approach, incorporating
management and project practices (PMI) and software
engineering (RUP). It was a great maturity moment of
management and processes, in which the principles of
organizational learning were adopted and used, creating an
environment seeking excellence.
From 2006 and on, Invit started working in the corporate IT
strategic sphere (CIO), and support both features of its
value proposal:
 |
Development of high technical complexity solutions
and business relevance (technology application). |
 |
Maturity of the client’s
IT area through strategic consulting (IT-BSC & ITIL
– IT and Business alignment) methodological advice
(ALM – Application Lifecycle Management / Software
Engineering
& BSM – IT Business Service Management). |
Thus, it was possible to develop technology and business
strategic competences to carry out great projects, which
provided an opportunity of vertical business. Thereafter,
Invit restructured its value proposal, once restrict to
great corporations, and applied this competence to conceive
and implement specialized solutions to the market promising
areas.
With the spin-off of these solutions to make new
companies and serve their vertical markets, Invit became a
holding, that continuously invests in its business
excellence and in the new segments and ventures evaluation
that can be part of its solutions portfolio.
