R&D Initiatives
Along Invit’s history, the strong link between theory and practice has always been present, therefore incorporating research and development initiatives focused in three emphasis:

Frameworks: assembly of class libraries and software components, to facilitate the development, management, and carry out of solutions with technology integration.
Technical and methodological elaboration: adoption of IT methodologies and high complexity project development, providing high added value services.
Vertical solutions: capitalization of vertical business understanding associated with technological elaboration, that converge in the vision: “Being an IT Excellence center.”

Follow a summary of the main Invit’s R&D projects throughout these years:
1996 - CFC – Cairo Foundation Class, framework for Client-Server development for Windows based in Sybase (PorwerBuilder) technology.
1998 - A2F PB – Adaptive Application Framework for PowerBuilder, for 3-layer Web development based in CORBA.
1999 - A2F J2EE – Adaptive Application Framework for J2EE, to 3-layer Web development based in J2EE 1.0.
2000 - Integration of Portal Technology and Content Management (Vignette).
2001 - PMI adoption – Project Management Practices.
2002 - IBM Technology (WebSphere) Integration, of OpenSource Frameworks (Struts, Hibernate, Spring) and IBM and RUB adoption for Software Engineering.
2003 - Oracle Technology Integration (Oracle Application Server).
2004 - The software factory automation with OpenSource (Subversion, Ant, jUnit) and ITIL adoption for Service Management.
2005 - Integration of SOA Oracle Technology and Microsoft Portals technology (SharePoint).
2006 - Integration of BPM Oracle Technology and BPM/SOA Microsoft Technology (WCF, WWF, BizTalk).
2007 - SaaS VOCCIA and Aggis ventures, adoption of MS MSF – Software Engineering Process with agile practices and MS MOF for Service Management.
2008 - MS Windows Mobile integration, Operational System for PDAs and SmartPhones, MS System Center for support automation and IT Services production, MS Team Foundation Server for automation of Sofware and MS SiverLight factories – RIA (Rich Internet Applications) Technology.
